I have never heard of SAB, guess it's not made it across the pond, but I'm always happy to try out anything with you! Just don't expect me to get any references to the show. Actually, I haven't gotten around to writing Kira's drabble prompt yet about the Hummeltwins before their mum died, but I was going to put in that the headcanon I've always had that Kurt's mum was deaf/went deaf through the illness that killed her. It's how I've always explained how Kurt seems to know a great deal of sign language. It's definitely been shown a couple of times in canon that I can think of. So maybe he feels some sort of connection there, does some sort of volunteering at Haverbrook in his lunch break or something?
